SHM-NDT 2020
Structural Health Monitoring & NonDestructive Testing

Scope & Topics

After the successful SHM-NDT 2018 Symposium held in Saarbrücken, Germany in October 2018, the SHM-NDT 2020 Symposium will be hosted by University Laval in Quebec City (Canada). The Symposium represents a forum for end users, scientists, equipment suppliers and for an interested audience to discuss current scientific topics and to examine products as well as present and future possibilities for SHM and NDT.

  • Structural health monitoring
  • NDT sensors, detectors and sources: ultrasound, acoustical emission, X-ray, thermography, eddy currents, EMAT etc.
  • Modeling and simulation
  • Reliability, probability of detection
  • Sensor data fusion
  • Reconstruction techniques
  • Defect detection & localisation methods
  • Signal and image processing

Interestingly, the IXth edition of the International Workshop on Advances Signal Processing for NonDestructive Evaluation (IWASPNDE, Quebec Workshop) will also take place as a simultaneous joint event.
